In this conversation with grantee Shaykh Hamza Yusuf, president of Zaytuna College, he speaks about the liberal arts, the relationship between theology and science, and hope. He also discusses the mission of Renovatio, a Muslim journal about the ideas that have shaped our past and present world.
“The biggest challenge that Muslim theology faces — as well as Christian and, I would argue, Jewish and other theologies — is that it faces the challenge of grappling with the incredible advances in science,” he says.
