The Nantucket Project Academy - Exploring Curiosity, Love and The Miraculous, A Public Engagement Series

The Nantucket Project Academy aims to create a 3 year public engagement program that explores the big questions surrounding human character and behavior. We hope to enrich and inspire audiences as we study and bring new understanding to the concepts of humility, curiosity, love and the miraculous. The program will involve a blend of TNP Academy’s signature live events, filmmaking and content distribution. The grant would fund (annually): TNP Community Program (years 2&3) Each September at our main event on Nantucket, we will convene a thoughtfully curated group of thought leaders and changemakers to examine the world’s big questions. We will seek out 4 speakers who serve as experts on and/or exemplars of the featured themes. We will also gather 20/40 opinion influencers (“Honorary Fellows”) to elevate the discussion, develop impactful relationships and to leave inspired to share their experience and take-aways with their respective communities. TNP Roadshow The roadshow brings our speakers and films to cities and towns across the country. The roadshow will include at least two major production signature events for audiences of 500 or more and 4-6 smaller satellites (100-400 attendees). Also included are three intimate gatherings for opinion leaders (15-25 attendees). Film We will produce 3 short documentaries per year, revolving around the themes and speakers showcased on our stage. TNP will screen the films at future events, in The Neighborhood Project, on JetBlue, and on tnpTV.
