Investments Intern

Location: Greater Philadelphia area, Pennsylvania, USA

Position Summary

Reporting to the Director, Investments, the Investments Intern will support the day-to-day activities of the Investments s Department, with a specific focus on data aggregation and portfolio oversight.  The internship will provide the intern with an opportunity to develop the skills needed to conduct initial due diligence on potential investment opportunities through both quantitative and qualitative metrics.

Primary Areas of Responsibility

  • Perform research on investment managers, database development and market/macro research
  • Conduct performance reporting
  • Attend and take notes during investment manager meetings
  • Work within external software programs to include eVestment and MPI
  • Help Investment team members prepare for internal meetings with Committee and/or Board
  • Assist with risk management support related to portfolio construction

Criteria & Relevant Skills

  • Currently pursuing undergraduate degree in Finance, Economics, or related field.
  • Keen interest in learning aspects of investment management
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, organizational skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) required and willingness to learn new software
  • Self-motivated and ability to work independently
  • Personal interest in the Foundation’s mission preferred
  • Ideal start date on or around May 20, 2025
  • Position is hybrid 3 days/week for approximately 10 weeks; in-office work required.
