Individual Freedom & Free Markets Intern

Employee Type: Intern/Temporary (June – November 2025)

Position Summary

Reporting to the Director, Individual Freedom & Free Markets (IFFM), the IFFM Intern will support the IFFM department, with a specific focus on data management, program event support, and relationship building. The internship will provide the intern with an opportunity to develop their capacity to analyze and evaluate data in a CRM system, to sharpen administrative skills, and to enhance their knowledge of academic, policy, and donor networks. In addition, the internship will provide the intern with the opportunity to travel to academic and policy conferences.

Primary Areas of Responsibility

  • Use Salesforce and Excel to analyze, track, and capture grant activity and outputs
  • Assist with administrative tasks, including planning events and data organization
  • Travel with the Director of IFFM to at least 4 conferences (including international conference locations) to assist with the execution of events, attend meetings and sessions, and serve as a liaison for the IFFM department

Criteria & Relevant Skills

  • Pursuing or recently completed undergraduate studies or graduate studies in philosophy, economics, political science, history, law, public policy, or related fields, with some knowledge of the classical liberal political tradition
  • Willingness to travel (domestic and international)
  • Keen interest in learning more about the classical liberal political tradition
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, organizational skills, attention to detail and creative mindset
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to represent IFFM with external audience
  • Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, and Power Point),
  • Familiarity with Salesforce preferred
  • Self-motivated and ability to work independently
  • Personal interest in the Foundation’s mission preferred
  • Ideal start date on or around June 3, 2025, through no later than Nov. 26, 2025
  • Position is 3 days/week in-office, except for weeks where travel needed, and additional hours required
